Rather frugal. If we fall to Lyon and go from quadruple to League Cup, do you imagine that Torres, Ake, and another centre back will propel us back to 2018-2019 standards? Need 3 more and extra support from others.

I completely agree. And forget looking at the players we've missed out on, just think of the players we wouldn't have signed if we had this policy earlier on. Does anyone think Sergio, David Silva, or Yaya Toure would've been Manchester City players if we hadn't paid top dollar for them? Not everyone is only going to want City. Sometimes you just need to pay the money.

you only have to look at the rags policy outbidding for players is a no sense,it is not about throwing money at players and clubs anymore,what we do works,torres could have gone to the clubs in spain,we didn't need to outbid to get him
