I think he’s the best left back we’ve had for a very long time. Unfortunately the ‘gave his all’ image was gone for me at Southampton away when he gave the ball away and walked back as they scored. Would probably still have him in our team
Kolarov was great going forward, but a lazy shocking defender. Similar to Mendy in a lot of areas.

Mendy prior to his injury eg when he was at Monaco was a better player offensively than Kolarov. Unfortunately, injuries have taken their toll and he has lost some of his pace.

a list of city left backs in my lifetime who were better than Mendy and Zinchenko:
Kolorov
Clichy
Garrido
Glauber Berti
Tiatto
Granville
Ben Thatcher
Margaret Thatcher
Unbelievable, Thatcher and Zinchenko better than Mendy, I don't think so.

Read it again, I didn’t say Zinchenko was better than him. I can’t stand Zinchenko and if it was me he would have left a long time ago in place of a proper left back.
Obviously Glauber Berti and Maggie Thatcher were jokes incase that confused you too

I remember very early on Bobby Mac started to run around the area with the ball in his hand, instead of giving a free kick (the 3 steps rule had come in at the start of the season) the ref did a policeman 'stop' impersonation.

I remember being at that game. If memory serves didnt he make a flamboyant tip over the bar at one point?

You are about as funny as having to spend an evening with John Aldridge.

That's not saying much.

I was watching the video tributes this week to David Silva, it made me realise what a top player Edin Dzeko was, fantastic striker, a type of player who we need in our squad now.

He was destroyed on here.

Hands up here. Easily the player I vastly underrated the most during his tenure and during my 11 years as a blue.

Many players are destroyed on here - it's a historical problem among our fanbase and the only thing I dislike about being a City fan.

That’s fair. We’re fanatics though. Posting thousands of times while also watching every minute of every match. Dramatic lot :-)

Wager you didn’t think that on the 23rd September 1989. ;-)
I seem to remember him scoring directly from a corner 2 home games in a row. The 2nd one was against Leeds, with Marvin Day in net, was disallowed. Think they were both in front of the North stand?

Don’t think we’ve had a decent corner taker ever since!!

Think he had a great game, when I think back the first outfield keeper I saw was Doyle when I think we lost to a very late goal which I think is the only time we've lost with a non-keeper... Gleghorn at least twice, Redmond, Bobby, Quinn, Tueart?, Granville?& Walker...

I'm sure there must be more.
