For a team that has spent absolutely shitloads on players, our squad compared to Bayern's looks incredibly poor, yes I know they've spent shitloads as well before anyone starts, but they've bought top quality. I think only Kev would get in their starting eleven, we've some catching up to do .

They are without doubt dubious bastards but I have a begrudging respect for the arrogant way they do it and more importantly , get away with it.
Very similar to Liverpool in the 80s and United under Ferguson. The later not always got their man ie Shearer but they did the majority of it.

Was looking back at my old archived tweets and in February, Blackburn said that “if it isn’t Messi that arrives this summer, it is sure to be another huge name” in regards to Pep wanting to deliver us a CL title. Anyone know if This still sounds feasible In this climate? Who would it be?

After his initial posts i thought the same thing however he has since come back on and said "shit is getting real"

Of course with any transfer its a little out of even Txixi hands - the player in the end decides but the club can court the player (agent) normally and this will have some sway.

The difference with the potential transfer of Messi is that in this case, the player has complete control and we as a club just have to wait for the word and we must be getting some encouraging signs at least for some of this to be slipping through. The one thing I wouldnt doubt is that TH will be getting little bits of info from wherever he gets them and wherever that is it will be someone/thing genuinely connected to the club

Barca will sell him IF he wants out - they could make 100m + on a player who would walk for free in 12 months - they are in financial trouble
