Aguero to extend (gives us another year to find a striker)
Messi to come in (bonus really)
Ake signed
Torres signed
1 x CB more to sign
1 x midfielder to sign

No one material to leave apart from bit part players

We will look at this as a great window in the future.

And don’t forget, there is a queue of really good youth now too so we may just see the next three or four windows with very little activity as we use a depth of squad to get us through the big competitions and use the Doyle’s, delaps etc in the cups.

No LB?

My only concern is will Messi be as consistent as the scums new signing penalty .

It was explained earlier it’s perfectly legit and UEFA can’t cover it under FFP. Very clever move by City and another ingenious way to a) circumnavigate the rules, b) piss off the rest of the footballing world
We all know what’s coming though that twat Gill will just change the rules!

Totally agree with this last paragraph from the Sam Wallace article (Telegraph). Posted link in the other thread

There were some things the Abu Dhabi money simply could not buy, City were often told, and at times that was proved correct. But what Messi’s arrival says, more perhaps even than winning the Champions League this month would have done, is that anything is possible. For City, for Abu Dhabi, that feels like the whole purpose of the enterprise – the proverbial shining city built in the desert. Besides, a club win the Champions League every year – only one in history will have the opportunity to take Messi from Barcelona.
