Doesn't look good for Spanish football if they're seen to be keeping their best player hostage. It'd hardly fill you with enthusiasm to go and play there if you're a professional footballer.

It may be a good idea to cut the board a bit of slack on this. There were many on here and elsewhere being prophets of doom re the CAS hearings, but they were true to their word and we didn't have a case to answer, so it stands to reason, Khaldoon won't have got sloppy on this, either. I know we are City fans and we are suppose to think the worst, but have a little faith, eh.

It's rather built into us; especially older fans: waiting for that typical City moment and we have undoubtedly got burned a few times on transfers that didn't happen. I don't like the negative outlook though; just as I never believe in counting your chickens or tempting fate.

We have no reason to believe KAM won't ensure that City do all that they need to here. I would expect that City are taking the best legal advice and sharing that with Messi.
