Would still need a tribunal to set realistic compensation for a 33 year old in his last year ?

Late last night it was buzzing on here mate that the President of Barca had been arrested for corruption, with some very serious allegations regarding hiring a company to deliberately tell lies about his own players and also some political opponents of his.
However see Sebs response to me on the Messi thread mate.It looks very promising.

Messi arguing against the release clause. That sounds like a person who wants out. Now maybe he’d still consider a contract from Barca but clearly messi feels he can weigh up his next move as a free agent.

I personally think we’ve told messi we are only interested if he’s on a free. He needs Barcelona to agree to that position but they are threatening legal action as, for whatever reason, they disagree with that view. Blind faith or a grey area legally, who knows.
