So you are happy to blame the club with no evidence that they are acting incompetently. OK
Mate, with due respect, you are doing more than your share of boring.

I’m just catching up and have waded through about 50 pages of repetition, petty provocation, confetti posting and utter tedium. Not all you, of course, but FFS guys.

Not being funny, but why is this news for city? One we’ve been linked with?

This isn't a player specific thread, all here for Tolmie's videos !

Saying that me , along with many posters in the last few pages have said , he could be a great option for us, possibly even swap for Garcia...all opinion of course..which forums are for!

With respect, I am responding to posters who are in the main looking for blame because the club have not signed players to meet their needs, despite several agreeing to not knowing why. Some even wanting sackings

If my posts offend you, simply ignore them

Wasn’t criticizing at all, just never heard of any link to him and not a player I know anything about. What I would say is if he can’t get in that current Barca midfield on a regular basis he would struggle with us.

Probably get slated for suggesting a fellow Irishman but what about John Egan from SU - no nonsense CH-home grown, young but experience in PL and would be relatively cheap

I've had a think about the possible reasons for this weird window.

I think my original thought that lots of teams will sell for cash flow purposes is still correct.

However I didn't see the extent to which selling clubs would chance losing a buyer to get the best possible price.

My conclusion is that the last week will be crazy and that's when we will do our business. Until then it's whoever blinks first and not many, Valencia aside, have. From a monetary point of view we can afford to wait and rightly or wrongly that is what I think we are doing.

We can't judge till 16 days time.

Purely a guess but I get the feeling there will still be a couple of huge signings and we are going to like them.

The 'final outcome' was last season, when Maguire didn't sign. Imo.

We are a year past it now & starting on Monday. The players we scouted last season, knowing we have a problem, should have been signed along with Torres & Ake, straight away imo.

That's if we are trying to win the title.

If we're not, & we are just rebuilding, Pep is signing a long deal & so we are waiting for the perfect players for the future, then I don't care.

1. we move on from last season into a new one - reset everything> Maguire has hardly been a roaring success so thats a bullet dodged imho

2. we still have two weeks of the transfer window left so its not too late. Maybe the players we scouted last season arent avaialable now (new contracts, injury concerns, have moved elsewhere or dont want to come).

Squads are constantly evolving..there is no start and end to one so its not just a case of rebuilding - we are always going to have to do that.....next season Ferna and Kun may leave - a year or two afte that KDB, Gudogan possibly walker as well will all be the other side of 30 (Think walker already is).

The injuries are only part of Aguero’s problem. Hes quite some way past his best now even when he’s fit.

an yet still one of the most lethal strikers in the premier league - he may not have the dynamism that he once had but he has adpated his game superbly well to still be one of the best.......and if not, then what a reserve striker to have !
