Kane would be insane in this team. People forget that he is not only the PL's top scorer. He also has the most assist's with 13. 2 more than De Bruyne. And that's playing for spurs. His injury record isn't as bad as people make it out to be either.

I prefer Haaland due to his age. But short-term, Kane would probably be better than Haaland.

And most of his injuries come from damaging himself diving so if he stopped that it would be even better.

A move for Kane would sort of remind me of when the rags went for Van Persie, a lot to gain short-term but injuries and age means it can only last 1-2 years realistically. I'm not sure the risk of Haaland going to Chelsea, United or Madrid is worth it...we need to get him in. I think Kane is a brilliant striker but if we get him there's every chance in two summer's time that we're looking for another world class number 9.

I was thinking there was something far more specific/concrete.

I suspect the hate is no more severe than any other jealous/bitter chairman can muster.

For sure - I’m definitely not suggesting it’s a problem that would stop him selling to us.

If didn’t stop him with Gundo - and to be fair, the Benfica Chief Exec came out with exactly the same shit when we bought Dias last summer. Didn’t stop him selling us the player though - nor did it stop him selling us Ederson.

But Watzke is definitely one of the more gobby, openly bitter Execs around at the moment, which is why I was surprised you’ve managed to avoid his brainless drivel in the past.

He rarely passes up on the opportunity to slag us off given half a chance - even though he really has very little reason to be talking about us at all given his job is Chief Exec at Dortmund!

Up til this season’s QF draw, its hardly like we’ve got some sort of historic rivalry with his club or anything to warrant all the attention!
