This basically indicates Messi isn't coming. This then also increases Aguero's chances of going to Barca to reunite with Messi. Since we are going all out for a new striker and the reports that we want a 'marquee' player are true, then I can see either Haaland, Lukaku or Kane coming here, in that order.
Does anyone see those likes to certain posts that make you facepalm and then you tell yourself you know exactly who gave it the thumbs up?I'll be surprised if we even get one of them three
Idiot parrot, I should read properly :)Paid not played.
I'm not sure how you come to that scenario. If you read what is coming out of Barca today, they are not hopeful that Messi will stay.
And we have Ezzy 2.0
Haaland doesn’t, we’ve never been in the position before where we need to replace one of the best in the world and been in a position where we are probably the strongest players in the market. Messi is a unique player in a unique situation, so no strategy or policy applies.I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed Grealish but Messi and Haaland go against previous transfer strategies.

I suppose we'll find out soon enoughTbf, performance wise they're miles better than they were last season and earlier this season. Still a chance to win La Liga and Copa del Rey, not to mention I'm sure he and Kun are in regular contact. Between them improving, his love for the club, family being settled, potential for Aguero to join him, and Laporta regaining his position, I wouldn't be shocked if he's changed his mind and stays.
Yeah obviously there has to be outgoings. How can we fit haaland, mendes and luiz/grealish in the team must mean curtains for aguero, fernandinho and maybe mendy if we can shift him?
I've go no inside real info on this (apart from that City want him badly) but Haaland's comments at the weekend where he is going to go to someone who "wants him" suggest to me that we have already got an agreement. That's how Txiki works with the big ones: he goes out and does the deal on a one-to-one, a handshake, before anyone else is involved, using all of his intelligence and charm. There's nobody better than City at this. And there's no more attractive proposition in world football: replacing Aguero at the best team in Europe, managed by the best manager in Europe, where players are looked after and want to stay.
He's coming to City this summer. I'm convinced.
You are not big on subtlety and diplomacy are you?i thought i hid it well lol
Pmslso your man says that our pursuit of Haaland which has been confirmed by all major City reporters, all European reporters, all trusty BM ITKs is a smokescreen........................................................for Phil playing false 9?
Ruined by injuries, trying to rebuild at Benfica nowI feel like we’ve always been linked with a DM from the Bundesliga. Remember Julian Weigl years back
One’s more a tent, the other , probably more a Wendy house. You had better rethink what the word marquee means , two of the above are not that
Hopeless !You are not big on subtlety and diplomacy are you?
As you have said previously, this summer does feel like a perfect storm, so many different parts moving perfectly into placeSomething is definitely afoot with regards Douglas Luiz at Villa.
I had heard we were inclined to bring him back at the £25m buyback clause which ends this summer.
Villa already value the player at £40m and I suspect we are just posturing about bringing him back and we are leveraging some of the difference against a discount for Grealish.
Similar to leveraging the sell on clause we have on Sancho, although we can let that ride if Haaland does have a buyout clause.
Dortmund can chum the waters but Haaland and his dad know the contract.
Laporte has piped down, thankfully.
