What about this
FC Apparently.
Always a red flag and the ultimate couching of a transfer story.
Just like King saying Chelsea are one of the few clubs who can afford Sergio's £13m a year wages.
FC Obvious.
What about this
From what I know of Dortmund, they like the selling agent to also act for them. Did it with Mkhitaryan.
This circus tour from Mino and Alf is exactly that.
Instruction to procure and then present offers to them, despite public protestations to the otherwise they are not considering a sale.
Dortmund don't want to deal with City and will only do so when they can see what other clubs can propose as an alternative.
It's a Hail Mary to sniff out something more palatable than us. Mino wants to get paid twice.

I'm a bit confused. I thought you said Dortmund are sitting lame duck here. That they don't have any power and will have to deal with whichever club Haaland picks as his destination. What exactly changed that that now they will deal with City only "when they can see what other clubs can propose as an alternative".From what I know of Dortmund, they like the selling agent to also act for them. so sounds like we’ll have to pay more than others?
No. It is about how the money is presented.
Dortmund know plenty of clubs can match each other.
Not every club can afford to pay the majority in the immediate future.
People need to deseminate from the shit now flying around (will get worse ahead of next week's game when people are asked on record)
Most of the reports are contradictory from the same outlets.
They aren't even smart enough to realise it.
Reporting Haaland only wants one of City or Real Madrid, while then running shortly after he is meeting with five clubs.

This is also confusing to me. I thought Alfie was the main guy and Mino was just a facilitator. People specifically said that both father and son would decide a club first for footballing reasons and then negotiate personal terms with that club. Now it seems like they have a done a 180 and are willing to clown around because Mino wants to get paid twice. Is the implication that Haaland doesn't have a preference and is willing to compromise on his own career as long Mino gets a fat paycheck?

No, my point still stands, the player holds the power as to his next destination.
It's far too early in the game for exerting that power, certainly when Mino can get paid for the facade of representing both sides of the deal.
Dortmund can bluff for a while yet that he is not for sale, yet instruct Mino to present multiple offers for their perusal. I know that sounds skewed but it happens all the time.
Mino has form for getting paid at both ends.
With regards his representation, Alfie and his son make all the final decisions, Mino is there for his expertise.
In essence, Mino will actually get paid three times.
From Dortmund and the buying club.
Also from his cut of the money Haaland and his dad make.
