We know Pep and the club wanted him before, so IMO it all comes down to the price. They overpaid by €40m to help Mendes out taking a gamble he'd be worth so much more after a couple of years.

He's not thrived at the club, which happens, he's still very talented but we can't be expected to pay for Atletico's mistake.

We won't, but reports say they want Bernardo, straight swop....

It's not something a top manager can't fix. Again, in my opinion it would be a fantastic option if we get him, especially with Spurs playing hardball on some ridiculous number like 150m for Kane, which I doubt we'd pay

I would simply suggest a straight swap to them, if they take it good, else just walk or price Bernardo at €75-80m

No reason we can't work out a deal if they do want Bernardo. I'm sure Mendes can pull some strings.

If Bernardo really is that desperate to leave that is. If not, just focus on getting a 9 and see where it goes.

It certainly benefits Mendes. Bernardo happy, Felix happy. Commission would be great I'm sure, both players in teams they're more likely to excel in.

I’d have both Grealish and Felix, different players could easily play both.
I have no issue playing a false 9 next year that is more a real false 9 as in a forward that floats rather than what we played last year which was no 9 and hoping the midfielders got into goalscoring positions, which they did. Wasn’t a real false 9 though. Messi is a real false 9, think Felix could be too, obviously not Messi standard but good enough for us to get goals from him.

I’d give anything for Felix. I think he’s ridiculously talented and completely wasting his career there. I’d far prefer him over an aging and injured Kane. He is about as class on the ball as the best in our squad which is really saying something. If they are really bringing Griezmann back then we should do everything to land him

Going off mere face stats isn't a good way of viewing football. When Felix is fit and actually given a run of games he has been brilliant, so elegant to watch. Have people forgotten we were one of the few clubs after him when he was at Benfica? Even more so favorites till the whole Griezmann deal happened.

Agree at this stage he is not as good in terms of consistency but has the talent and at an age where he could be better than all of them with hard work and good coaching.

The guy has the natural talent to be a total superstar.

When there were multiple reports of us after Haaland. The guy who is close to pep said it’s Kane who we are after.

That just isn't true. The two were a couple months apart.

The Haaland links were when we played them in the CL. Most likely speculative due to the timing of the matches and also the timing of the announcement Agueronwas leaving. 'Club with money needs a striker, here's one of the best', easy link to guess at.

The Kane rumours came after he did his interview. Equally as speculative. 'One of the top PL strikers talks about wanting to win thing, club with money needs a striker' again, piss easy link to guess at. And others then echoing the rumours for fear if being left out.

The rest is people filling in the blanks to make it seem like some know more than others to conclude what they want.

Either guessed rumour could be true, neither could he true, both could be true. Their bases are covered every which way.
