IMO nearly all of negative stuff is being conditioned by the existence of Haaland. The desperation for that kid seems to be clouding a lot of judgements.
To be fair he is the far more “sexier” choice not to mention PL fans in general usually don’t like signing other PL players there’s no “unknown” appeal that you usually get from signing players from foreign leagues which in turn lowers the excitement. like when we were in for Maguire or Mahrez the appeal was naturally lower. Mahrez showed us all last season how good he is. But the appeal of signing him was “meh”

Disagree, there is a shortage of quality world class strikers, they are few and far between.

Also by now Messi and Ronaldo should be dethroned as the great players, but they still are far the best, even in their mid 30s.

There are lots of very good strikers around but few great strikers.

Haaland looks at this stage to be a generational talent, and one to me the club should do everything to sign.

No with pep there is always pressure to win everything and why he puts strong sides out in all competitions.. if we sign Kane and Grealish Because they coming into a team full of winners they’ll settle in pretty quickly it not as if they don’t no the league..

We've won more than any other PL club in the last decade. People talking about pressure and expectations don't understand the club they're supporting. City expect to win every single season. The expectations are greater than on any other club in the league already. Nothing will change that. We finish second and it's a disaster not just in the media, but on Bluemoon too.

You simply can't expect more without being delusional.

not much improvement? The leagues top scorer and without question the guy who will break the premier league scoring record coming to a team that played without a striker? Doesnt say much for Gabby does it to be fair? ie when he was fit pep still didnt start him? Bernardo always runs hard but seemingly does less in the attacking areas etc then he did previously whereas Grealish thrives more in that area? Plus, see how De Bruyne improves even further when he plays his natural position and not as a false 9 like a good amount of times last season? The amount of times balls came into the box and we had no one there was ridiculous last season and Kane is a pure box goal machine! Grealish, Foden, De Bruyne and Mahrez or Sterling feeding Kane.............GOALS!!!!
Don’t doubt his goal scoring, he ‘might’ improve us with goals but IMO will make us weaker in his all round game (in that position)
The fit, the pace, the stamina, the work rate over 90 minutes and the season.
Last season was the slight exception, Gabby and Sergio both injured forced us into playing without a striker and then we stuck with it.
I see similarities with Sergio and Kane with regards looking like they’re closer to the end, goal threat still there but look to be slowing in terms of pace and stamina.
Kane was never quick but looks slow now.
So Grealish is replacing Bernardo?
Bernardo wasn’t a regular starter, so who’s he replacing?
The ones you’ve listed, not Kev, not Foden and he ain’t a winger so that’s the other 2 out.
We still need a defensive midfielder(s)
I appreciate Kev, Phil ain’t gonna play every game, but at £100m he need to play constantly.
Like I said I don’t think he’s really needed over other weak positions or any better than we already have.

To be fair Aguero was finished and contributed little last year.

I just don't think Aguero was utilised because Pep wanted him out. I've heard numerous times that he was available more often than was made out and simply not selected.

Regardless, losing our only two senior strikers and replacing them with one who has question marks over his fitness (and has never been particularly dynamic) isn't ideal. Hopefully another would come in because I've seen nothing during Pep's tenure to suggest Delap will play a big role.

Grealish and Kane don't bring the same energy and workrate as Gabby and Bernardo. Sure, they offer better quality in the final third but this squad is slowly drifting from the high intensity style which made us the best Premier League side of all time.

If those two players were coming into that side of three (?) years ago then I wouldn't have the same concerns.

Plus, we seem to have this weird thing over the last few years where we leave ourselves short in one position, be it left wing, centreback or striker.

At this rate nobody will be coming in lol. Seen vids of grealish on the piss, we will no doubt find him comatose in a gutter somewhere and levy won't budge on the Kane fee.

Don't even care anymore, stay as we are and give Torres a go up top and save the cash for Erling next summer

Spot on. I've seen it down the years on here. People camped out in the Sterling thread talking shit about him before he signed. Same with Walker. They're doing it now with Kane.

The idea of losing Aguero, Jesus and Bernardo and replacing them with Kane and Grealish doesn't sound like much of a positive window, to me. Hope it doesn't pan out that way.
Agree totally but I think within our fanbase if it was Kanei and and Grealishio a lot of our fans would be much happier.

Kun has just spent the summer sat on the bench and I am sure it will be the same this season, he is broken.

I would love to see him back in action week in week out, but fear his career is basically over.
