I would be okay with Jesus/Ferran/Sterling as our striker options this season if it meant bringing in Haaland next season and activating his release clause.
Say what you will about the false 9 system, but it clearly works in some aspects as we nearly won 4 trophies, if Pep could figure out Tuchel last season we would have won all 4.
Yes, we clearly lose something with a recognized striker, but people acting like we will be gimped without signing Kane or Haaland this season clearly didn't see the games where we completely passed circles around teams using false 9 and won a ton in a row.
Hell even if we just sign Grealish, that makes the false 9 even better, he could definitely play that role or LW. The fluidity in our options is quite good with it.
If we need a "real" 9, then test the waters with Delap in cup games until Haaland next season.
