You can’t possibly think that Jesus or Diego Costa are better strikers than Alan Shearer was?

The guy quoted stats, if you have a problem with his stats then point out where they’re wrong . . but please don’t say ignore the stats and go off the subjective because that’s saying ignore the facts and go off the guesswork.

If he says Jesus’s stats are better than Shearer‘s then publish your correction or agree with him - but don’t go canvassing for another persons guesswork to back up your guesswork when you’re attempting to counter a matter presented as fact that you can’t be arsed to challenge.

Shearer was a far better striker than Jesus will ever be.
That stat is something akin to saying Carson has a 100% penalty save record and Rodri has scored 100% for us.

The stat is just a data point. No one ever said Jesus was better than Shearer. Why would they? That would be really weird

One specific set of stats doesn’t tell the whole story does it. How about the stat that Shearer is the league‘s all time record goal scorer? Or you could just watch goals highlights, but basically it’s common fucking knowledge and obvious.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics. Sometimes just use your fucking eyes and common sense.
