We’d basically be tying 1 arm behind Peps back for 1 of his last 2 seasons here after convincing him to extend. And wasting a season of De Bruynes absolute peak without a decent striker to get on the end of his passes.

We wasted 2 years of Aguero, Silva and Kompany prime years on Pellegrinis limited management before Pep came in, hope we don’t make the mistake again.

If the issue was as big as you think it is we would know by now. In a weird way, having Pep here means we are basically tying 1 arm behind our back because there is a tiny number of players that Pep wants and if he can't get them then we don't get anyone. Not many clubs work like that and speaks volume of Pep's impact and weight within the club. We aren't going to panic buy Chris Wood on deadline day just because hes a "striker".
