We dont have little power at all. He literally has 4 years left on his deal.

Just like Spurs hold all the cards with Kane.
Pep isn't in the business of keeping players who don't want to be here. What are we keeping him for?

We have literally 5 players for the same position he plays in and the likes of Palmer and McAtee knocking the door down for a chance.

In a market where Ben White goes for £50m and Abraham for £40m its truly terrible deal but Txiki will think its amazing deal for one of our best players.

Obligation would also mean we cant even use that sale for this seasons books or even next one!

The only winner in this deal would be in all aspects: AC Milan

It really pisses me off, these same fucking clubs constantly bend rules in their favour and then we proceed to give them players on the cheap.

EDIT- How come City never get such favours in the transfer market?
Maybe we aren’t moving him for the money, maybe we need a squad place and Bernardo wants to go, and this is the best offer from a club he will go to. In the end not our problem.

Keeping a player for another year instead of bending backwards in the market is the better move.

I mean, you dont sell valuable assets for bargain fees just because they are unhappy.

Keeping him to do what though, Sit on the bench? sit in the stands? Run off back to Lisbon?

Keep him another year, burn millions in wages and we have someone whos barely kicked a ball on the market for less than what we have potentially been offered here.

Be part of the squad. Hes good enough easily to play part. He wouldnt just sit on the bench or be in the stands.

Well I think all businesses want good money for their good assets. I don't think Abu Dhabi is running charity here. So of course its about money.

Doesn't matter how good he is. He has told Pep he wants to go. Why would Pep force him to stay here. Apparently he told him last year, Pep convinced him to stay and here we are again.

Lets be honest, hes been poor now for 18mths, flashes of brilliance like Villa away last year but by and large his head hasn't been there.

We have just spent 100m on someone who is of a similar type of player and yet we are going to keep Bernardo as well. Not a chance.

He can go if the buying club coughs up the cash. Im sure Bernardo understands its business. You cant just accommodate someones unhappiness by selling valuable asset for poor fee.

We had to pay £100m for Grealish who wanted out of VIlla and so on. Why for others it should change. Thats the definition of being charity for other clubs.
