Heads should roll in our recruitment department after this shitshow of a summer, I'm absolutely fine with people saying this is an overreaction but we're wasting a year of the best manager on the planet and the best creative midfielder on the planet without a centre forward, this is completely unforgivable.

But the barca boys will never be binned off so again we go into the season hoping our manager can perform miracles without 1 striker at his disposal, jokers
Again, dramatic, but not without merit.

Say what you want about Billy but he's always prepared to admit when he gets something wrong. It's not easy that.

Agree totally.

His information was good and passed on in good faith. His contacts at the City end were genuinely confident. But at the end of the day there are a whole raft of potential reasons why it hasn't gone through.

Khaldoon "One of the things that I’ve learned over the years is, you need to constantly bring in talent into the team, refresh and particularly when you are at a high level, at the top. Having won the league, it is not the time to actually sit back and be content,"

Really ?

Amazing how people have turned breaking the British transfer record into the club lacking ambition and sitting back.

Last time we defended a league title (the first team to do it in a decade) and won the first clean sweep of domestic trophies in English club football history, it was after we bought 1 player in the summer - Mahrez. A player who broke the club transfer record, played in a position that was already stacked with talent, but Pep knew it would keep everyone on their toes and he was hungry for his chance at the top table of European football.
