Amazing how people have turned breaking the British transfer record into the club lacking ambition and sitting back.

Last time we defended a league title (the first team to do it in a decade) and won the first clean sweep of domestic trophies in English club football history, it was after we bought 1 player in the summer - Mahrez. A player who broke the club transfer record, played in a position that was already stacked with talent, but Pep knew it would keep everyone on their toes and he was hungry for his chance at the top table of European football.

Liverpool - Diogo Jota, Salah, Mane and Firmino
Chelsea - Lukaku Werner
Leicester - Daka Vardy Iheanacho(whose buy back we funnily ignored for it expire)
Arsenal - Aubameyang Lacazette
Tottenham - Harry Kane
Man United - Cavani Rashford


We will be in the lurch with no clear out and out goal scorers. You can keep deluding yourself in the toxic positivity.

Going to be a real struggle against Chelsea, Liverpool, scum, probably Leicester without a true number 9 in the team. Other teams we'll probably still swat aside, but fucking hell I really can't believe we've had a whole summer to get a striker in and it looks like we're going to fail. Why are people laying into Tolmie? If you are choosing to believe something he posts, it is up to you to also then believe it may or may not come through.

I had posted 10 days ago that City had egg on their face when they briefed Paul Hirst about the fact that the Kane deal is not happening and I was abused beyond belief. Some members simply refuse to see facts if they are not something they like.

That was the 18th of August, City were holding big discussion in that period with Spurs. The confidence was extremely high Kane would still be arriving.

If nobody will legislate for how a deal can collapse in the space of another week, there is no point me attempting to outline such.

With regards your last point, I was simply responding in real time to Guz Cruz, giving an opinion on what might be the leaks at the Spurs end, even suggested the deal could be dead for all we know, although I felt there could still be a twist.
