@Gus Cruz
I owe you an apology.
I went off at you before finding out the true facts and stuff.
I'm currently snarling at everyone so it's timeout for me.
You posted what you posted and I went totally the wrong way about it.

My bad.
All good, don’t worry!! We’re all here for the same reason :)

I'm actually pretty down about it now because I never actually gave much consideration to pep actually leaving us. Now it's turns things on its head abit

Hopefully the board knew? Or is this just pep fucked off with not getting Kane and having a mini tantrum?

very likely this last two season under Pep. we need to use next transfer windows to sign up big talents, big players as it will be harder without Peps pulling power. we are attractive destination for good players but most our current players who signed under Pep without exception came partly due to working with Pep does have a great value and is something thats great to experience in a career of a football player and can be a factor in favour of City at close transfer decisions. and we certainly used that as a negotiation tool for sure. rightly so.

you wont hear Varane saying part of the decision to join United was to play under tactician Ole. he might as well just finding out who the hell is that clown.

again we will arrive at a stage next summer where "does Pep renew?" will be all across media, does he really start the season with an expiring contract, media trying to create doubt for our players. "good bye season" and things like that.

I want us to go real big in current season and we need a top striker imo to reduce risk simple as that. we might make it work with Gundogan becoming Alan Shearer but he might not. Pep wanted Kane, for a reason. that reason was so its not Torres, Sterling, Jesus who will be in crucial PL-CL situations to kill of opponents.

to miss out on Messi, Kane, possibly Lukaku too, while potentially we have been given no positive feedback from Haaland either, you have to wonder if Grealish didnt have a fee (and an incredibly high fee!) in his contract we might not get him either. Txiki unable to get players anymore apart from few under the radar guys like Torres, Jesus if there is no release clause?
Bernardo maybe too but look at him, we are about to give him away on charity...

Frankly it does make you think, wouldn’t another club have closed the Kane deal even with Levy and all? Even another English club, for that matter?
They’re not at Barcelona anymore and sometimes it seems like they haven’t realized that
I don’t think it would matter tbh. If there was any hint of a deal being close I think Kane would have handed in a transfer request. He could have pushed a lot harder like Bale and Berbatov did.

I have little doubt that Pep would have been backed to the hilt on transfers at almost every other top PL club.
Txiki and his team have let him down on theKane deal. They don't know how to walk the walk.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if someone's head rolls for this shambles of a non-transfer.
Unless Pep is in full agreement with us not getting Kane at the asking price and happy that everything else was done as much as could have been, this has the potential to define and shape the season before it's really begun.

Especially it's more disappointing because it's pep's penultimate season. Madness

Mahrez, Cancelo, Dias, Aké, Ferran, Fernandinho, de Bruyne, Sterling... non were signed by a release clause.

Dias had a €90-100M release clause but we didn't pay it. We did a swap deal.

Pretty sure the board like most fans always suspected this is the last extension. He could change his mind but I wasn’t aware many were expecting him to.

But will "big talents" come with the managerial situation not clear.
This was the window to do it.
