The club will have been looking beyond Pep even before we first signed him.
1 year, 3 year, 5 and 10 year business planning is standard in most businesses and succession planning is part of that.
Pep himself will have always been involved in planning for his own succession, it’s what happens.
I’d like to think so but taking our failure to replace a left back, Sergio or fern our succession planning looks distinctly questionable.

Which is the point I'm making. A lot of people think we wanted Kane and if we didn't get him we'd go with what we've got

By us pulling out of the deal yesterday, I think that proves it isn't the case and we do have other options

Maybe we didn't know we had other option(s) until yesterday.... Ronaldo
Part of me thinks Daniel Levy flew to close to the sun with this one. Now he's stuck with being 130m down (not including Kane's wages).

The powers above would be whoever owns the other 70% ... or more importantly whoever they owe £1billion to

Like I said, Lewis isn't overruling Levy, and someone worth £5Bn doesn't really give a fuck about a£1Bn loan due in 20 years.

How many league titles and cups do we have to win before people just accept Zinchenko is a left back? And not just that, but the perfect LB for a manager who chooses to have his left back push narrow into midfield?

I know it cuts down on the list of things you can whine about, but we have a very good left back, and spent £60m on Cancelo precisely because he can play both sides, which are just 2 of the reasons why the club hasn't spent money on another.

Maybe he believed the Kane or nothing line too much and thought he had until Tuesday to drag every last penny out of it.

Zouma to west ham done. Chelsea about to get Kounde now. Lot of pressure on city to make another move. Let’s see if we make it.

Chelsea with one hell of a squad now.
And not a whiff of them ruining the market, or being disrespectful to other clubs or blood money or inflating the market.
Bless.

I genuinely think that was his plan, and I think City knew it. A lot of the early reports out of the City end indicated that.

That's why I think something significant has happened to change that. Feasibly from the Spurs end, but likely the City one (Ronaldo).
