So armed with the Kane transfer money with the wages of Kane and Mendy to boot , time to go for Mendes and Bissouma, they will not improve City as much as Kane would with us needing a target man, but they would improve us in areas we are weak for longer.

Makes perfect sense. There's a breed of City fan now that exists who despise our board as "incompetent".

They're spoilt children who believe that City should sign every player in the world regardless of fee or circumstances and if they can do it on FIFA then why can't Txiki do it?

You have to remember that if you're 16-20 now, pretty much all your football supporting life City have been a glamorous club that spends big money. They might know Dickov and Goater in passing but it's rare, and they've got no idea who the fuck people like Joe Royle or even Richard Dunne are. Let alone White, Lake, Hinchcliffe and that generation nor Lee, Bell and Summerbee.

There's no family tradition of support of a parent or older sibling to tell them stories and this specific type of fan doesn't care enough to look it up. They think it doesn't matter. What matters is signing the latest rumoured signing and if it doesn't come off then it's all somebody's fault, usually Txiki who has very little to do with it in the scheme of things. Most of them don't even understand what his job is.

I really dislike these people. They're the worst thing about social media. Not all fans abroad or all young fans but this specific group of spoilt brats.

I find the attitude of quite a lot of our supporters on social media very tiresome when things don't go exactly as hoped for.

this is turning into a really deflating window. Rivals have strengthened and we've neglected the two positions that have needed strengthening.

Don't really give a shit either way about Ronaldo but what I don't understand is the Messi/Kane saga:

So we chase Messi for years, never get him, he's in love with Barca, yada yada

We give up on Messi, start going after Kane for what appears to be the last 2 summers. Tottenham says he is worth 150, you can have him. We dont budge, despite knowing what he costs, and knowing he is our main target for 2 windows... still will not pay the transfer fee.

MEANWHILE, Messi all of a sudden DOES become available Holy shit! But no, we cant go for Messi now, we've moved on to Kane and we are totally focussed on him (although we are not willing to pay what he costs....?)

So Messi goes to PSG, we don't pay for Kane, miss out on him and now we are fighting over scraps of Ronaldo's corpse with United, possibly losing another striker to a rival for what, 20mil we refused to pay again..??

I'm totally fine winning all the trophies under the sun without signing a "galactico" but I wish we wouldn't get involved in all these public transfer sagas. Like, just sign Danny Ings then and lets keep it moving
