For what it's worth here's my take on the Ronaldo debate.....a good few thousand blues were quite excited by the prospect of signing possibly the best player in the world Messi...even though he was ageing he was good for a couple of seasons...expensive yes...we would of recouped a few quid in sponsorships shirt deals marketing etc etc....he would of scored.and assisted many many goals....would of been invaluable in big moments in big matches with his technique vision and know how....now just for a moment change the name from Messi to ronaldo and all the above still applies....for me it's a no brained....we have no striker...our champions league group is difficult...Liverpool Chelsea united etc are all stronger this year.....younger players for example delap could all learn loads from him....nobody says he's forever....but he buys us time until we identify and buy the new best thing

Makes perfect sense. There's a breed of City fan now that exists who despise our board as "incompetent".

They're spoilt children who believe that City should sign every player in the world regardless of fee or circumstances and if they can do it on FIFA then why can't Txiki do it?

You have to remember that if you're 16-20 now, pretty much all your football supporting life City have been a glamorous club that spends big money. They might know Dickov and Goater in passing but it's rare, and they've got no idea who the fuck people like Joe Royle or even Richard Dunne are. Let alone White, Lake, Hinchcliffe and that generation nor Lee, Bell and Summerbee.

There's no family tradition of support of a parent or older sibling to tell them stories and this specific type of fan doesn't care enough to look it up. They think it doesn't matter. What matters is signing the latest rumoured signing and if it doesn't come off then it's all somebody's fault, usually Txiki who has very little to do with it in the scheme of things. Most of them don't even understand what his job is.

I really dislike these people. They're the worst thing about social media. Not all fans abroad or all young fans but this specific group of spoilt brats.

They only exist on the Internet. Go to the match, go to the pub, go to work these entitled Blues who despise the board do not exist. Don't make the mistake of confusing the Internet with the real world
