dreading it, but this is currently the striker situation in the PL

rags - ronaldo, rashford, greenwood and cavani
chelsea - lukaku, werner
liverpool - salah, firmino, origi
spurs - kane, son
leicester - vardy, daka, iheanacho
city - jesus, ferran torres, delap

it pains me to say that, but at BEST we are 5th in this in terms of quality. and 4 teams have at least 1 world class striker.

I was a bit loose with "striker", mainly was trying to look for "main goalscoring outlet", whatever that might be.

We played most of last season without a recognised striker & outscored the nearest team by 10 goals. We are the best equipped team to cope if we stay with the squad as it is.

I think some people get far too worked up about positions and names even after 5 years of Pep.

I'm looking at this list of clubs who apparently have so much better strikers than us, and all I think is, "We'll outscore them, and them, and them, they might push us, those won't".

I'm just not that bothered by Marcus Rashford and his 10 league goals. Fucking Gundogan will get that many.

The question I have with our attack is, "Will we score 90 goals?".

Every team who has scored 90 goals in a Premier League season has won it.

Since the false 9 was introduced we've scored 2.54 goals per game over 28 games. So that's 97 goals in a 38 game season.

If we can score 90 goals in a season I don't give a shit about United or Chelsea or Spurs, because with our defence and 90 goals, we're winning the league.

Got to admit that despite myself I was fully aboard the Ronaldo train, mainly out of us wanting a fox in the box. What’s Jo doing now? Fuck sake. Sign a striker please
City. Sterling doesn’t score enough and evidence from recent years would suggest Pep won’t start playing Delap or Kayky in anything other than the Carabao. Happy to be proved wrong in the fullness of time but I think we could do with signing a bagsman.

Much of our goal threat comes from Foden and KDB. If they stay fit we can defend our title.

I think we’ve all got so used to success with the seasons we have had that there’s a expectation of silverware or competing for the league I’m guilty of that. But you can’t win/compete every season.

Think we should just look at this season with no expectations and what happens happens, hopefully we can go far in a cup competition maybe.at least we are not Arsenal
We should be expecting to compete seeing as we won the league by 12 points and would have been even more if we didn’t toss off a few games with the champions league in mind
