Yep,that pissed me off too.
Even if they do get limited time this season,they can still be a part of preseason and integration would be no different to an incoming transfer would it?
Pep's good at integrating into first team training and pre-season. He sees them a lot more than we do, and it's worth remembering that he doesn't value the EDS and level of competition in comparison to the level the B team at Barca would play for example.
So we're there seeing Delap etc destroy the opposition in the EDS which is all they can do, but until they impress Pep in first team training I think he takes it with a pinch of salt.
What is good is that they don't rush things. 23-25 is our ideal purchase age typically. Re-sale value, potential to improve and become more valuable and young enough to learn. I think we'd give our academy players until circa 21-23 before making a long-term call.
