Yep,that pissed me off too.

Even if they do get limited time this season,they can still be a part of preseason and integration would be no different to an incoming transfer would it?

Pep's good at integrating into first team training and pre-season. He sees them a lot more than we do, and it's worth remembering that he doesn't value the EDS and level of competition in comparison to the level the B team at Barca would play for example.

So we're there seeing Delap etc destroy the opposition in the EDS which is all they can do, but until they impress Pep in first team training I think he takes it with a pinch of salt.

What is good is that they don't rush things. 23-25 is our ideal purchase age typically. Re-sale value, potential to improve and become more valuable and young enough to learn. I think we'd give our academy players until circa 21-23 before making a long-term call.

To be fair he seems to love playing for this club and in this side, it's just our location that is the issue.

Hopefully if covid lessens, he will be able to take breaks back home, which should help him and all our other non UK players.

it looks very unlikely we will get anyone in now....the only movement might be EDS players ins and outs on loans etc.

The transfer windown has been imho a poor one imho.

As good as Grealsih may turn out to be, he is a player we didnt really need. We did need a striker and continue to need a left back (the situation with Mendy was an unforeseen one BUT the reality is that on the pitch he has NEVER been good enough and is a liability. Zinch has deputised extremely well but we should be at least looking at a young understudy for that position).

I never thought we would look at a DM as soon as Ferna signed his contract extension but the search needs to start now.

Can we get a striker in January? I doubt it. Even if 93:20 is correct, why would Dortmund sell in the middle of a season...esp if they are in the CL and doing well in the league....I dont think it would happen even if we put the money down they want....not at that time in the season. We will have to compete with other clbs next summer for him and when that is the case we often back out. Hopefully we have a new list of forwards we can have as a plan b c etc....and hopefully we DONT go back for Kane - that would be a huge mistake

If we haven’t bought the striker everyone feels the management team HAD to get them there are reasons for that, stupid wages (Ronaldo), being messed around before (Messi), over priced and not market value (Kane & Haaland), so we move on with what we have - an exceptionally talented squad.

Grealish will add a different threat, Torres is coming of age nicely (don’t forget he is Spain’s big bright Hope currently). These factors on top of foden getting better, the brilliance we already have and a potential of Delap maturing means we should all be more chilled than most are.

European clubs (bar PSG & Munich) are in a total mess currently financially, and I think a few domestic clubs will tighten the belts too - we may see better value for money next year and keeping our powder dry now might pay off for city.

All in all, our management team are no mugs - they know what they are doing and we should trust them more.
