Final……….squad contracts……recruitment.

That’s the order of the day, won’t be until after a week past the final till they even look at things properly on the recruitment side, nail the extensions then turn the chats into real transfer conversations.

Remember it’s three options for each position so we will be hearing some rubbish, for the striker I still think we are in a Kane/Haaland/someone else mode despite what everyone thinks or says.

would it be Kane/Haaland/Lukaku?

In 12 months time Kane will be close to 29 and his price would be impacted further.

I don't see why Pochettino would want to stand in Kane's way, they are miles off a trophy.

They actually need to sell Kane to start moving forward as a club, whatever their stance in public over the player.
A club that re-signs the manager it sacked eighteen months ago is unlikely to be moving forward.

Exactly.

And where has the money come from for the stadium? That's a serious upgrade going on there, we are not talking a bit of Peter Swales cladding when we were skint.

massive loan for the new rebuild and why I doubt they’ll spend more than 100m net

Nothing will move before the window opens. There are meetings next week with current players for squad renewals and then things will speed up.

One issue to consider for both us and City is when to go official bid on Kane.

Spurs can ask more money if he tops scoring chart at Euros, which we don't want.

But we also don't want to throw down too early in case he gets injured at the tournament.

Once you hear Spurs have rejected our offer, you can assume the deal is close.
Are we not tryign for Haaland at all....just seems a bit short sighted to me not to try if that is the case

Who would offer him more money if he was on a free than Real ? Not us ? Not PSG as he is leaving g them not Bayern not Barcelona

If he ran down the last year then PSG would offer him more to stay than Real, we would most likely offer more than Real if we wanted him at that point and I would imagine a bunch of other PL teams and B Munich would also be in better financial health than R Madrid so my point is that R Madrid would be some distance from offering the best deal. He might just want to go there but I thinks its unlikely, if i had to put my own money on it then Id say he signs a new contract with PSG.

Reals Mo is to spend more than prem clubs or Bayern even when they cannot afford it and would be especially willing to push the boat out for a player like him on free transfer Whats our highest paid player on ? Whats Bale etc on

PSG would clearly pay a fortune to keep him but carnt really count them since in this scenario he is a free transfer

100%

If Levy has as much nous as the media say he would get Kane sold for £100M+ to City or United asap.
Sign Luis Campos as DoF and give him a huge sign-on fee. Let him pick a manager after the Euros.
Watch him build a competitive team while making huge transfer profits.

I think he either signs or they look to sell, i can't see PSG letting him leave on a free.
If things don't work out with Kane or Haaland, i'd like to see us test PSG's resolve with a £100m bid, even though they don't like us, that may be too much to turn down!

With all the new rumors going around it’s hard not to feel like Grealish is coming next season, whether or not we end up signing Kane or Halaand. The way I see it, Grealish slots into our current false nine system perfectly because he’s a player like Phil and Bernie, he can play basically anywhere up front and in midfield. However, if we end up able to make a deal for Kane, someone like Raheem or Gabby is bound to be heading in the other direction, so Grealish can fill into that slot. I think Kane is going to cost us Raheem or Gabby, and adding Grealish bolsters our current system if we miss out on a striker, and if we end up with Kane, our interest in Grealish makes it pretty clear that somebody is going to London.
