We wouldn't speak to the player without permission, that would be tapping up. He might come up as a topic in a completely unrelated discussion with his agent though.
WE wouldn't, I agree. Other big clubs would.

Would anyone like to summarise where we are at in this thread?

I thought it was quite funny tbh. Certainly wasn't aimed at you - just the general "yes/no" vibes that happen on these threads!
No, they'd just be having a completely unrelated discussion with his agent as well.WE wouldn't, I agree. Other big clubs would.
Bit of a whoosh moment there maybe?WE wouldn't, I agree. Other big clubs would.
Yes, of course clubs will make pitches to Haaland about money + footballing project. BUT, once those pitches are done he'll choose ONE club and they'll bid. I'll repeat again, he isn't going to move to any club but the club he wants to move to.
Considering you quoted Billy's post how could you get it so wrong?Just then to follow this through, if he were to say tell Real Madrid, he wants to play for them. City would make absolutely No attempt to sign him, or convince him? Our top target btw, according to everything younsay. And if Madrid were unable to afford the transfer fee, or agree one with Dortmund, City would Still make no effort to convince him and sign him. Or again next year when there is a buy-out clause?
There are always other clubs and oprions on the table. Helps if the player only wants one, and can even be decisive and that is it. And we as a club have certainly benefited feom that greatly over the years. Doesn't rewrite how things work though.
