Like you said in the podcast however.....Messi is the unknown...I too could see us sticking with the false 9 approach IF (and its a big IF) Messi does decide to leave Barca (as he is only coming here if he does leave).....messi easily scores 20 a season in the prem league (and thats an understatement)Everyone is in the same boat in terms of fitness after summer tournaments. It is what it is. The key thing for me is that we get a 9. A proper top class one. If we do that, all other business should depend on who wants to go and has brought a decent offer to the table.
Ake I can see leaving, possibly part of the Keane deal, happy for him to go.And Garcia, I cant see us letting 5 of our 5 centre halves go in one summer.
But to go from Laporte , Dias, Stones and Ike to just 2 would be incredibly risky and again who would replace them?

What really upset me about the entire Sam Lee article is there was not a mention of Haaland. Must really be dead. Kane's going to be so hard to get
City are not talking, either on the record or off it, about targets right now. Making it VERY hard for the media to get a handle on what's going on and they're relying on stuff leaking from agents or the selling club. Makes it hard to know what's real and what's not.

The only 2-3 players that the club would battle to keep if they wanted out are KDB, Foden and Ederson....the rest are expendable IF they didnt want to be here.....IMHOYou don't let you best players leave, Laporte is a quality player, great CB, he could well be back as first choice next season.
Dias has played a crazy number of games, probably play all summer in the Euros, he will need time off at the start of the season, otherwise you will have burnout.
Sorry but it sounds like they don't want to fight for places. It's a bad attitude. Especially from Sterling.

Dafaq Rodri? He has played so much . His mistakes against Chelsea and Brighton ruled him out of 11.He shouldn't complain. Even cancelo dropped his form for weeks now. You can't expect to drop shit shows and expect to start every match
