And incorporate Doyle, Palmer and maybe Delap in to the first team squad

Doyle's been in the first team picture for 2 1/2 seasons now and made 1 league appearance.

I really wanted him to succeed and come through because of his family history - and the style of player he is - but pretty hard to see it happening now unless he has some sort of massive breakthrough on the preseason tour.

He is only 19 so, hopefully, he will get a chance. I think all of us would like to have a regular throughput from the Academy set up and it is hard to believe that quality such as Palmer, Lavia, McAtee and Delap could be consistently improved upon in future years; it really should happen next year, if ever.

Based on latest rumours we would be fucked if all Sterling, Jesus, Bernardo, Laporte would opt to move on seeking a different adventure.
Getting shafted on selling transfer fees for them and charged through the dirt when we try to buy replacement..

I still do not trust Stones that he will deliver seasons like this one in a consistent way, maybe this was his best ever and only way is down for him.

Same for Gundogan who will not be anywhere close again to being topscorer. Possibly we have seen Mahrez's best City season too. To me it makes more sense at this point to cash in on Mahrez given his age than someone like Sterling or Jesus or Bernardo.

If we replace Kun with a top striker (Haaland, Kane), finally sell the deadwood Mendy and get in a good LB, and maybe sell ake and get a younger CB prospect who is happy to play less than 10 games imo that would be the transfer window we need.
But if we have to replace Sterling and Jesus and Laporte and Bernardo on top of that, wow thats quite a task and a very hard season to bed all replacements in and what the guarantee their replacement are better than them who dont seek first team opportunities straight away.

I kind of hope they all have a shitty EURO because if they star in it they will be more inclined to give up the "rotated" City role to a first team role somewhere else.
Totally agree, this summer is not a good one to make major changes, only a handful of clubs have cash and even then valuations will be very low except for elite players.

Ake, Mahrez and Cancelo I would be happy to move on but Bernardo , Laporte and Jesus a big no for me.

I think Palmer and maybe Delap have a greater chance of making it to be first team squad regulars in the long term rather than Doyle.

I can imagine Doyle making a decent career as a regular in a mid-lower table PL side - and there’s nothing wrong with that whatsoever. It’s just that the benchmark required for our own first team squad is so very very high.

You'd prefer someone like Doyle getting a chance in, I don't know, the CL final... than playing an out of form winger who has had and scuppered plenty of chances all season! But that's just me. Pep thought to win the CL maybe the stars needed to align, well playing Doyle would have summoned all sorts of spiritual City magic!

and if kane is injured which he probably will be, who is the back up? Torres?

You should google up his injury history.
You’ll be surprised by how few games he misses due to injury (I was surprised myself having read the stuff written by pantomime dames getting giddy on the topic).

And if he plays for a big club where he gets rotated to give rest and reduce the incidence of injury then he’ll get even less injuries.

I don’t particularly like Kane, I think he’s a bit of a nob, but he’s proven that he can score for fun in the Premier League and that he’s a robust character, very few injuries really given the number of games he plays for a club like spurs where he gets played despite strains & knocks rather than rested to prevent them.

Aside from PSG who has money for elite players this summer?
Chelsea and United both seemingly will be busy this summer (not that we would likely sell to either of those). I find it interesting we are briefing we need to let players go before we bring in anyone. obviously we have a spare squad space with aguero leaving so I would expect maybe one or two more to go.

Can’t see more than that most likely Laporte and Jesus. Hopefully with us then bringing in a cb, grealish and Kane. I like Jesus but I feel he has stagnated and wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him go other way to spurs if we they could convince him to join
