But Pep doesn't pick teams like that, he picks teams that he thinks is best suited to play using the tactics he thinks will win the particular game. He always has. He can get the tactics wrong or selection occasionally and sometimes like Saturday will be out manoeuvred.No, I haven't. At the end of the day Sterling was the cuckoo who upset the balance of the rest of the side so his inclusion caused a domino effect. If Pep had played the proper team based on merit we wouldn't be having this discussion.
If you want a manager that plays the best 11 the same way every week then it's a different manager you want. Not for me though because with a different manager we wouldn't be as good to watch or win as much.
As for Sterling I beleive we'll see the best of him again next season playing with a centre forward,
