No, I haven't. At the end of the day Sterling was the cuckoo who upset the balance of the rest of the side so his inclusion caused a domino effect. If Pep had played the proper team based on merit we wouldn't be having this discussion.Ironically haven't you've spent most of the time since Sunday arguing that all your favourite players can't be blamed for playing poorly because Pep changed the system?
But now you also think the idea of Sterling playing better in a different system is outrageous.
Or Bissouma, or Kamara - we've been linked to a few.
Bellingham would be the perfect one, but he's not attainable and we can't wait until he is.
having kane in the box opens up far more heading chances from say Mahrez who tends to hit at least 6 into those areas whereas Sterling tend to run more into the box & drag it back??Possibly. I do think they're onto something there though broadly speaking. Sterling would have less of a burden in terms of goalscoring, something IMO he's not that comfortable shouldering the responsibility of - there would also be undeniably more space as someone like Kane would draw more focus than any of our false 9s would. Plus there would always be someone for him to try and find.
The league title is a race, but our midfield really struggled for pace and physicality against Chelsea, Dortmund and for long periods against PSG.
I think there's a really good argument for us getting someone like Pep had at Barca in Seydou Keita, or Vidal at Bayern who is more box-to-box, strong and fast and capable of getting on top of some of the more physical midfields coming about in the game.
Building a squad is about options, and with Fernandinho's physicality nowhere near what it was 3 years ago, our midfield is all a bit one paced and small and not very strong and the option of someone who could run around and disrupt and win the ball back and get into physical battles would round out the squad.
Great to hear Tolm....will we be looking to tie up the deals super quick or is this looking like if could go on till just before the new season starts?Ha - I'm very relaxed. Khaldoon video will be out shortly and then everyone else can relax too.
It's on!!
I don't pick 'em, bud.
De Bruyne is a big fan of Lukaku.

We always look to tie deals up quickly, and they always go down to the wire :-)Great to hear Tolm....will we be looking to tie up the deals super quick or is this looking like if could go on till just before the new season starts?
Didnt kinky recommend mikhail kavelashvili and kacaber tskadadze?
Players should stick to playing.
But Pep doesn't pick teams like that, he picks teams that he thinks is best suited to play using the tactics he thinks will win the particular game. He always has. He can get the tactics wrong or selection occasionally and sometimes like Saturday will be out manoeuvred. No, I haven't. Surprised, his form dropped off badly and he looked utterly pissed towards the back end of the season.Cancelo has had a few approaches from Italy and Spain.
He seems happy enough at City.
HahahaProbably someone who sed the club didn’t need Aguero because we had Bellamy.
To be fair, we could be supplying more than half the England starting eleven at some a point in the near future!
What reasons TH?James Ward-Prowse is also someone Txiki and Pep likes a lot.
As do I.
They were very impressed with him against us at the Etihad the other month.
Technically excellent, brilliant deadball delivery, become a very good defensive midfielder.
We have eyes on him and Ings for differing reasons.
Beauty is the Euro's being in & around England, we could do deals during the comp but obviously not sign till July 1st?I don't think a couple will be with us at the start of pre-season training, but more because extra rest after Euros.
He would be the most deserving of all the possible new contact renewals, great little player and fantastic attitude.Doesn't sound like we have any interest in a sale and a new deal is in the pipeline.
He would deserve it.
Not English then :)I don't think a couple will be with us at the start of pre-season training, but more because extra rest after Euros.
