The transfer window hasn't even opened. There have been no hints we are in for either player nor that we aren't looking at both. It is ok to have a preference towards one or the other, and also to point out when people go way over the top in exaggerating one over the other.

Of course Haaland might not want to move, or even if he did, might not be affordable in what the club are prepared to pay. Same can be said for Kane, although he has at least hinted he wants to move (which people have taken to be a done deal, to us).

But saying he guarantees 40 goals a season and league titles next 5 years is crap. For either player really, but the claim then extends to say the other wouldn't cut it. So if my pointing that out does your head in, apologies, but I stand by my point.
I'd be happy with either choice, and like I said in my original post I get why some prefer one to the other. My gripe was with the comment Kane would only be a good shout as a plan B. Either way it's not worth getting either of us getting worked up over tbh.

Agreed. In case you have missed it, I have quite often noted I can easily believe there is every chance the club see kane as their first choice priority. The option B is purely my own opinion on it as I see it, based on both what is out there and more importantly what the club typically go for in terms of profile for money. As you say though. Totally happy with either. Or 3rd or 4th or whoever the club brings in that we may not even be thinking of.

I've always had absolute faith in Daniel Levy to be the most Spursy of Spurs kinda guys. Conte was never going there and this is only going to reinforce the idea that Levy doesn't know what to do next.

Hopefully we'll see some real Kane movement soon.
Nothing will happen re Kane until England get knocked out of the euros or even win it (yeah i just said win it)

Kane vs Haaland

Pace - Haaland, not even close

Shooting - Kane, can ping it with either foot from 25yards. Haaland is very one footed and scores the vast majority of his goals inside the box.

Passing/link up - Kane, most assists in the prem, added a string to his bow under Mourinho.

Carrying the ball/dribbling - Neither are strikers that dribble past players, Haalands best movement is off the ball and Kane has that ability to buy a yard to get a shot away...draw.

Defending from the front - Kane has better numbers(tackles, interceptions ect) but if you win the ball high Haaland would be a much bigger goal threat - draw

Physicality - Haaland wins on strength but Kane is better in the air...Haaland edges it as he could learn to be better aerially, Kane ain't getting bigger and stronger.

Value - on one hand Haaland will, being a success permitting, retain/rise in value if he wanted to leave but on the other, his wage demands would disrupt the entire wage structure of the club. Kane would be here until the end of his initial contract that would fall inline with other senior players in our squad and it'd be unlikely he'd be demanding pay rises to keep him at the club....Kane

Kane 3-2 Haaland
