I agree with you on a few points. I am only pointing out that his lack of mobility is detrimental to this current City team.

The collective approach came unstuck in the champions league final. We got destroyed by Kante. If we had a 28 year old Fernandinho it would have made a huge difference and Pep would not have decided to sacrifice the most import position in our team...The DM.

Sadly the collective approach came unstuck when the CL final team was selected. As I said, without wishing to be rude to any poster, Pep, post match, stated why he made that selection and I take his word for it unless and until he says otherwise, irrespective of my opinion or anyone elses.

Kane would be here and the main striker for the next 4-5 years.
Delap ain’t waiting that long.
We sign Haaland or Kane and Delap ends up being the real deal, one of them is off regardless.

Delap is what, 18? Foden is 21 and is probably the model that all future academy prospects will be told to follow.

We play 60 odd games a season, no way Kane plays all those like at Spurs. Plenty of opportunity for Delap. Plus when Delap gets to 21, Kane will be in his early 30s and whilst he won’t be finished, his share of those games will only be going in one direction.
