I may be wrong....but haven't Roma posted the biggest losses out of any club in the world for the financial year 19/20

Think they lost over €200mil

Given italian football finances are in ruins this year as well, would shock me if they have any money to buy Ake (as he isn't going anywhere for less than £30mil)

I always wonder why no one gives a shit about chelsea's spending.

It's literally never mentioned, nor are there extremely high sales questioned

I think the trajectory of the club and the past histories make a very imp in the eyes of the so called neutrals when calling out about any club.
They reached their first CL final in 2008 and then they did it again twice.
It's our first. They also managed to win multiple PLs and a Europa before Pep came. Now they are at a stage where they are considered fairly successful but with us it's all very new.
A decade later with 4 5 more league titles and a couple of CL titles, no one would question our spending or the fact that 2021 was our first CL final.
I guess it takes time to change opinions not that i am overly concerned what people think of us.

This probaby is a wind up link but I wouldn't mind that (especially if we are trying land another target) although we have got to be very careful in not blocking any promising EDS player's path.

I’ve not watched Bissouma a lot but I’ve been very impressed whenever I’ve seen him.
A great ball player, good in tight spaces, he always seems to have an accurate and creative pass in him. Shoots well from any distance - keeps the ball down well.
If there’s one thing lacking it’s that he’s so right footed - but his right foot does magic.

Sometimes the most random stories come from those you don't expect. If he had been saying we are signing Kimmich for 50p then yes I would doubt it but you just never know.
Don't think there are good and bad sources, there are sources that sometimes, guess right or get lucky and hear right. Just as much chance that Cross is the one that gets it right as anyone else.
From my point of view based purely on what squad we have this makes far more sense as a Fernandinho replacement than Rice does, from a playing time and cost POV.

But he could be right - even a stopped clock gets the time right twice a day
I like Bissouma, much better on the ball and a better passer than more limited destroyers like Ndidi. But I think we’d just take up the Douglas Luiz option or even recall Yangel Herrera, who after a slow start has had another brilliant season in La Liga at Granada, than shell out big for a Ferna replacement.

Was about to post the same thing. The report this morning did mention Rice being one of a few targets listed by Pep. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was another, he plays in the right sort of side too.

The fact it’s come from someone not typically in the know for city should tell you it’s been leaked by Rice’s agent rather than City.

And as I said this morning I 100% know for a fact his agent still thinks he’s going to Chelsea. The leak is probably just to remind them to get a move on.
