It's a blessing. There can't be bigger twats on telly than Clive "the rag twat who can't stop mentioning that magic night in Barcelona" Tyldsly and Andy Townsend.

ITV caters for non-footballing people who like Yoonited and Ingerlund.
Agreed

I'm absolutely disgusted that they've shown 3 Rag games but not a single City one. As others said atleast we're spared the moronic opinions of Chiles and that **** Keane but it does mean I have to watch some crap quality stream.

I've never understood why people have a chip on their shoulder about this. Gooners are paranoid about it as well, but not to bluemoon levels.

Bottom line is ITV is ad revenue dependant, and United attract larger audiences than anyone else, regardless of the opposition.

You sir, have it in one.
I bet half the folk on here used to kick off if one person got more jelly babies than them in the 10p mix, what with everything having to be balanced and all.
but more football fans don't support utd, itv are helping to promote utd with this costant utd arse kissing, yes maybe itv will say they get bigger audiences for utd games, but what choice do they give people. funny the weekend we played Swansea, itv news sport started with Martin Jol being sack by Fulham, then "in today's football" brief hi-lights from Spurs/utd game the Chelsea game and the other game (i think Arsenal) not a fucking word about us verse Swansea, and yet the biggest crowd of the day was at Eastlands. wankers !

Maybe the head of ITV sport is a rag, like the head of BBC text.

Quoted from the ITV sport website ... "
"All the drama and excitement from this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign is being covered as usual by ITV and Sky Sports.
ITV will continue to screen its chosen first pick of Tuesday night matches throughout the competition, from the group stages to next May’s final in Lisbon
."

So from that it looks like they get first pick of the Tuesday night games, and their choices have been....
Week 1 - Un*t*d -v- Bayer Leverkusen
Week 2 - Celtic -v- Barcelona
Week 3 - Arsenal -v- Borussia Dortmund
Week 4 - Real Sociedad -v- Un*t*d
Week 5 - Arsenal -v- Marseille
Week 6 - Un*t*d -v- Shaktar Donetsk

Does seem a though there may be a slight amount of bias at work here, for whatever reason.

But as somebody else has already mentioned, Shadygiz is a f*ckin lifesaver.
Might be a blue/red thing, what with Chelsea not having any games on either. Maybe the head of scheduling just likes red things, infact I bet he's peeling the skin off his edam cheese right now for his morning feast of cheese on toast, with red sauce of course, not HP.
That's most amusing.

Not really, seeing as ITV is funded by adverts.

I actually like watching ITV football coverage.

I do, however, hit mute and find commentary on the radio.

Yeah , I can't stand the commentary and bloody ads on commercial stations. The only way I can listen to talkshite is with the sound muted!

If it is supposed to be all "fair play" nowadays then how can it be fair that one team are favoured more than an another. Should the TV regulations be altered so that they are fairer? Each team having the same amount of time on terrestrial tv. In our increasing armchair fan world if you only get to see one team on the telly then the floating voter will support them. More fans for that team and more revenue for them in the form of scarves, shirts, hats and strange jigsaws of backroom staff.
