Missed anything?

Thank fuck the BBC has won the rights to broadcast FA Cup and England games again from next season!
I know I can't wait to see rio Ferdinand's expert analysis for the BBC this year.

Didn't realise that. Still bbc for me though. Commetary especially + Adrian child makes we want to kick the cat

I remember them winning the rights for premiership football highlights, that was god awful. The intro music being that shite song by U2 (Beautiful Day) not sure what it had to do with football, and the wonderful analysis by Townsend.

It used to wind me up staying awake until almost midnight to catch Spurs highlights in the domestic cups, sometimes the highlights lasted less than 15 seconds. It's absolute dog shite

It was a terrible programme. The games involving United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea would take up around 60 minutes air time and the remaining games would be shoe horned into 5 minutes at the end, including "analysis".

Townsend is all hyperbole but no knowledge. He knows little about the teams or players. He does no research. I doubt he watches any football apart from those games he co-commentates on. I would rather have Strachan as a co-commentator. At least he is knowledgable and is not the type to display bias.

Whenever a game has been in ITV and another channel at the same time, I would always choose the 'other' option. The football coverage in ITV is garbage.

poor, they get nothing right. they for some reason just don't do sport, football especially.

The thing that amazes me is that no matter how bad ITV and their presenters and pundits are, and boy are they bad, BT Sport and their pundits make ITV look like fucking geniuses.

Loved Chiles introducing the program last night saying you join us live from Rio. I know Rio is close to Miami (Dublin is closer) but at least he's trying!

ITV cannot do live football. Never have been able to, Never will be able to. Poor camera angles, poor production, poor punditry poor commentators (except for a clutch in the 70s like Gerald Sinstadt, Brian Moore, Hugh Johns and pundits like MAalcolm Allison made it interesting). The highlights shows other than Kick off and The Big Match in the 70s/80s have been very poor. I once saw the Tyne tees version in the 70s and 80s and Yorkshire's. Amateurish would be a compliment to them! The current highlights shows are dreadful. You learn nothing from any of the pundits.
For years ITV has been dreadful. Tyldesley, Atkinson, Townsend, utterly, utterly dreadful. Naff sets, poor production. Lazy pundits. Lazy all over.

Talking of lazy...

The standard of pundit on the BBC has been terrible generally - how Hansen and Lawrenson got paid for that is a disgrace. They have offered no insight with their lazy punditry. Shearer is dull (but at least he gives City credit) and offers little insight too.

One or two better ones are appearing like Kevin Kilbane and Danny Murphy but he is yet another Liverpool supporter. The lack of balance and bias is the worst thing, and it has got worse.

U2 make me sick, Bonon makes me sick, but Townsend (AKA the Tactics Tw@ in his "Tactics Truck" was a joke). We've been there waiting for our highlights when we were crap. Spurs aren't even as bad as we were! What went wrong there then?
