I have had to switch off my mobile. I'm getting hundreds if not thousands of gloating texts off every rag I ever known. But fair do's they really are the greatest, bestest, biggest, most stylish team ever ever ever....TM

It wll cost me a fortune to reply and congratulate them!!

Same here. I couldnt belive the population of manchester on the final night whent to zero they were all in Rome. Manchester must be red i suppose.

I feel I must congratulate the effort of their loyal supporters. Barcelona visibly wilted due to the wall of noise emanating from the Red Army. Their passion is without equal.

You have to hand it to them. Yernited do play such an exhilerating brand of football in the best tradition of Albiston, Birtles, Pallister and Roche only this is the 2009 vintage featuring the legendary 'Fab Four' (thanks Match of the Day) all of whom are actually quite underrated and even better players than they are given credit for. I also noticed in the Olympic Stadium how cool and stylish Yernited's fans are and absolutely none of them were smug, fat, middle-aged tossers as far as I could see. I admit I was envious watching them all stay behind to enjoy the cup presentation and lap of honour. They are just so fortunate to begin supporting their local team who then, against all the odds, turn out to be fantastic. Jammy buggers. I suppose good guys like them deserve to be lucky - thats probably why they invented their own nickname for their ground (which it is now illegal for ITV Champions League commentators not to mention at least once per game), the Theatre of Cu#*?!......er Dreams. Ah well, I'll just have to make do and stick with City then. Tch! never mind.

Good luck you magnificent red devils.

Why feel resentful about it? To be perfectly honest, I felt privileged watching such a wonderful display on Wednesday night. We're lucky to share a city with them.
