I'm glad he's learning from David Silva in midfield but David lad you shouldn't have shown Jack how to finish.
Laughable

LOL - he will go downhill if he gets into the England team -!!!mmc said:I think when he plays in midfield its fine to play short strikers, which we seem to prefer with the poor form of dzeko, he gets in the box consistently. His stamina is ridiculous for someone plagued with injurys, I think he could be a valuable player for us, and in the future he could be the successor to yaya when his legs start going. Would be nice to shut up whoever moans in the future, having the future England captain in our starting line up.

Please, let this name stick from now on.
It was Everton against Utd 3-4 seasons ago that this player really caught my attention when he scored the third goal to kill utd 3-1. The incredible grace, elegance and technique displayed in his run and the cleanliness and purity of the strike was something to behold. Since then I have really followed his career as I see him as a future England star and probably England Captain. So when he signed for City, its fair to say that I was very excited and filled with hope for the future despite his lingering injury demons that has bitten and don't want to let go.
It is a well known fact that our transfer window dealings over the summer were careless and unwise in most part and this, some may say, has directly affected the outcome of this season. Whereas most, including the media have identified Nastasic as an exception, I actually believe that Jack Rodwell will turn out to be the real great signing of the 2012 summer window and the future of the club.
The media especially have been very harsh to J-ROD, grouping him with the likes of Garcia and Sinclair (with all due respect) and affirming that he is one of the players that has proven to be out of his depth." Rodwell is not good enough for City, he is going to be on the bench most of the time and waste his career" , they said. But I will say that It was the same media that hyped him when he as at Everton and England U21 captain and proclaimed that he was certainly going to be a future star. But their opinions about him had completely changed when he signed for City: This may be because he has been crippled with injuries , or perhaps they thought his development curve was not as steep as they projected. Whatever it may be, I completely believe that nothing justifies the dramatic and harsh degradation of his potential and talent that have occurred in the media over the past 3 years because the bottom line is that you have to be blind, emotionally obscured or have an underlying agenda against J-ROD, to not see that this guy is the real deal if fit enough to play.
100% pass completion rate today, missed a lot of chances but they talk about Frank Lampard's ability to ghost into the box and find himself in those positions. JROD is better at doing that in my opinion and once the anxiety, desperation and butterflies derived from his pure desire to impress disappears, I believe the composure will kick in and he will prove to be the most talented midfielder in driving into the box and scoring goals. His shooting technique is so clean that he will also prove to be an incredible threat from outside the box. He is one of the most technically gifted young English players, he is strong but elegant, quick but composed, has great leadership skills and a fantastic attitude for the game. Manifested by his desperation and eagerness to try anything no matter how strange, to get fit.He is also versatile and can play everywhere from center back to supporting striker. He is also a tough tackler and aggressive- he is the complete package.
J-ROD also has a natural ability as you've seen this season to some how steal the show and be at the center of everything. I think he should be in the starting line up next season because honestly, I believe he is superior to Barry, Milner or Ferdinandinho or whatever is been touted by the media at the moment.( Unless we sign Fabregas or Bale, which should be the kind of player we should be going for not Fernandino or Ferdinandinho or Fernando, who to be honest is not markedly better that Barry or Milner and will not really improve our chances of winning the league, which is what the objective should be. But then again the media is very skilled at associating utd with positive moves like Bale whilst associating us with average dealings like Ferdinandinho and negative unfounded headlines like Pelegrini coming to City.
I know I have mentioned ferdinandinho about 500 times but my point is that we should be a braver in the transfer market and go for players that will actually make a difference and upgrade the quality in the club , I will use Gareth Bale as an example. It will be a battle but why should real Madrid or utd get him while we let whatever complex compel us to be timid and give away the title before the season even starts. We have to get stuck in and fight because that could be the difference between winning the league and not. Gareth Bale, but that's another matter.I apologize for my digression.)
Back to J-ROD,his most important attribute is the intangible- his emotions towards Manchester City.
J-ROD is a player that was humbled and feels privileged to have signed for City. He is desperate and hungry to prove his worth and give his best without been distracted by contrary emotions about the club. The guy is pure, dedicated and when he kicks off those injury problems he will epitomize what we fans want from a city player. There will be no such things like doing a hammers sign before a match against West Ham or conveniently getting injured or suspended before we have a game with Arsenal or making innuendos about money being a major inspiration. He is young, was displaced by injury problems, rejected by Everton, but has now found a home and will give his all to his new family.
All we can do is give J ROD the support and hope he finally kicks off the injury demons so he can embark on the venture of becoming a PURE CITY LEGEND.

Actually I disagree about what you say about fernandinho mate. He may or not may not be worth the amount we might pay for him, but he is a super quick midfielder with a creative dimension. Google Fernandinho vs Chelsea and you will see what I mean.
