Manchester City keen on £9million German international?

Heiko Westermann has emerged as a target for Manchester City Football Club.
The 25-year-old may be relatively unknown in England, but he is a big star in Germany where he has picked up 12 caps since making his debut in February of last year.
Westermann, 6ft 3in, can play in defence or in midfield, and has been starring for Schalke since his £2million move from Armenia Bielefeld in 2007.
Although he has only recently penned a new contract with the Bundesliga side, reports suggest Mark Hughes is willing to pay £9million to add him to his City squad this summer.
