Jack Grealish - Everton on loan

Bore off Jack

You're posting on his thread again, it's a compulsion, is it like when a child pulls a girls hair but secretly fancies her?, are you confused by the fact you're stirred by a man with long hair and a stubble?

As he no longer plays for us and you think.people shouldn't go on about it this seems like a waste of your time. I would suggest you would be better reading whatdomyfeelingsmean.com rather than this thread, help is out there.

Good luck to you :-)

I’m a Grealish fan & hope he does well. However the praise has been slightly OTT. Is that not allowed on a football discussion forum?

Fuck knows what else you’re blabbing on about

The snippet of the king Julian interview made it all make sense about Jackie to me.

He's an incredibly talented player. Maybe Pep was trying to connect to him on a level he doesn't understand?

All Jack needs is a gaffer that says; "Go onto that pitch and enjoy yourself. Trust what you do best."

Looks like Moyes is doing that.

I want him to be integral to the national team and a success away from us.

Jack Grealish: “People go, ‘He likes to go out, likes to party’ – and I do. I want to be able to live my life and enjoy myself, but obviously there’s a time and place. Sometimes, I’ll be honest, I probably haven’t picked the right times. At #ManCity, I didn’t help myself at times, I’ll openly say that – but I don’t think it was all down to that…” [via

Just reading the Everton forum opinion on Jack and couldn’t help but laugh. Below are some of the comments:

“I think we need to move him centrally. It’s his game to slow the play down but we’re becoming increasingly more predictable and easy to deal with as we play through him so much that teams are able to get back into shape when we work the ball out to him”

“His play is very predictable but he hardly ever gives the ball away. I just wish he’d look to shoot sometimes”

“Guilty of over playing at times. Need more end product”

“How come he never just takes a shot? Pep has made him so conservative.”

Quite amusing to see history repeating itself and pep still getting some of the blame! Jack is never going to get goals that just isn’t his game at all.

A lot of fans are currently at the “we should play him as a 10” phase too. I fear as Everton form drops grealish value will decrease and we won’t get any fee for him

I watched him last night. All the comments are true. But Grealish is brilliant at keeping the ball and you can see how that has improved Everton so much. Everton were all kick and rush before but they have much more control these days. Jack has never been a good finisher. His best matches for City were mostly in tough European matches and PL games against the stronger teams when we needed to slow things down.

He is a quality player but we are extremely hard on our wide men.
We expect them to beat players for fun, be direct, but never lose the ball. We expect their G/A average to be in the highest echelon, but we also expect them to protect the full-back. No player offers all of that, which is why we need to look at what players can do rather than what they cannot. Jack offers a lot.

If we had paid £50m for Grealish as a squad player no one would have been critical. The player I really rate though is Bowen at West Ham. He would sort out our right side.

Watched and enjoyed the Everton game the other night. Was interesting to watch him without the City glasses on (or half off at least). You can see exactly why we wanted him (he plays with the whole picture of the field in his head, the only player on the pitch like it), he can take the ball anywhere and not lose it, BUT while he is thinking two or three moves ahead like D Silva he can't fully move players around the pitch to create space that create chances and he holds on to the ball for a beat too long.

Which is to say you'd look at his Everton performances and think he'd possibly do a good job for City, if he only improved x,y and z. Funny.

If the supporters over there follow the same path as some of the supporters here on Bluemoon, then the next stop should be the "Moyes out" phase.

Thing is, he is not good enough to be managed like that at a top team. Maybe he is just one of those players who excels at midtable teams
