Great in the championship isn't what we'd be looking for, to be fair the only times I did watch him was against City and never saw anything spectacular. Even the League Cup final, despite all of the hype around him (not his fault I appreciate) nothing stood out as anything of note. But, I've been happily eating humble pie (with custard) the last few months and happy to be doing so.You genuinely could not have watched him on enough occasions as he was running the show for Villa,including basically getting them promotion on his own.
When i heard of our genuine interest i made it a mission to tune in as much as possible,hence why i was never in doubt about his ability and his success here.
None of that matters though now,as he has finally been accepted by all of us it would seem (well his detractors have shut the fuck up anyway!)

That is ace. Not sure if it was Zoom might just have been voice but the kids were absolutely made up as they say!!

I don't watch TV so only see other team's players against us and remember a 19 year old Jack playing at Etihad in 2015 when he was a joy to watch. He was never just "great in the championship", which implies he was Championship level.
