Jack Grealish | Set to join Everton on season-long loan

He's on a massive salary and is paid ridiculous amounts on top in sponsorship deals which must be linked to his profile at City.. For that reason alone I would anticipate he is going nowhere..

This was the big season for him because this was his final chance to prove to Pep & the board that we can rely on him. Best to move on as he’s been awful this season and if he can’t stay fit then there is no point in having him.
There’s still more than half a season to go yet..

He wouldn’t pass a medical. He’s not been fit for more than about half a dozen consecutive games since the treble.

The one game we played Jack in midfield was against Forest. Yes they had chances, but we had much more, and it was easily our best performance in this dreadful run. The next game he is dropped, then as a 5 minute cameo role the game after that. I am convinced if we play Jack in midfield for a few games we would be better. Much better than having Gundo, Kev or Bernardo in midfield. Those 3 have been great servants but are struggling to cope with the pace of the opposition.
Strange he is benched when we are performing so badly in midfield & are down to the bare bones. Face doesn’t fit for whatever reason. Maybe Garry Cook and Tom Brady will give us the 100m back to piss off Villa

I'd be gutted if he left. We play better with him in the team (tin hat on) and we're not going to get our £100m back so why let him go?

Unless it's a makeweight for another player but that doesn't tend to happen these days.
He hasnt played well for 18 months so i think we can let go of the notion he makes us better

I’ve posted on here from the word go he isn’t a winger and is being wasted by not playing him left/centre midfield.

If the plan is to move him inside as a replacement for one of the 3 current CMs I’d say definitely keep him.

If the plan is to keep him on the wing I’d let him go in the summer. He isn’t a winger. He doesn’t deliver anywhere near enough goals or assists from that position and he isn’t quick enough to be used as a counter attacking killer from the wing either.

I’d tell spurs to fuck right off no matter what they were offering. The way they publically took the piss over Kane was worthy of a glassing.

My own take on Jack is he probably the most fouled player in the pl. unfortunately he’s not in the penalty area where it counts. When the lad is out wide on the left he just won’t cut in to the box where he would be more effective. Now I’m not saying he should dive whilst there but for fuck sake it could make a massive difference end of the game and the result we need.

I'd rather not sell him on to anyone in the PL because they'll actually use him properly. He should get a consistent run through the middle because de Bruyne, Bernardo and Gundo look like they're tapped out and we just don't have much support there anyway.

He’d be excellent in a creative midfield role BUT you’d need legs and a defensive minded CM there to balance things.

In that set up he’d be like Nasri used to be with Yaya and Fernandinho doing the dirty work for him.

His amortisation at the moment must be circa £42M and a salary of £300K week for the next 2.5 years makes him very difficult to shift and this is compounded by the fact he's 30 next year so not really any resale value left in him. I cannot see Levy doing this deal, maybe Newcastle but it would need to be very attractive and City could possibly take quite a haircut on his book value (amortisation).

The other option is a loan, something similar to Cancelo but again I cannot see much in a loan fee, it all depends how much do City want him to go
