Jack Grealish | Set to join Everton on season-long loan

By no means our worst ever signing and he played his part in the treble season at Arsenal, and also at home to Liverpool and Real Madrid

I've been one of his biggest supporters but there was a moment in added time at PSG last season when City had a counter attack and Grealish was presented with a half chance.

However, instead of putting his laces through the ball, he stopped and tried to win a free kick/corner.

Sadly, that happened too many times.

So just the £2.5m in wages we cover for him and not forgetting the £16.5m amortisation cost of his original purchase cost for next season - so £19m for him to play for Everton before being returned next summer.

Nice guy but the money wasted on him and Phillips where both will see out their contracts is ridiculous.
Yet everyone were linked with posters shout its not my money just pay what he wants .

No ill will towards Grealish, he loved being here he just wasn't ever good enough.

Wish him well but it is a woeful resolution on our part. Completely kills any idea of us ever getting a fee for him, we will be forced into doing the same kind of deal again in 12 months time before releasing him.

Look elsewhere and you've got the dippers making back over £45m on a flop like Nunez. He'll never play for us again so we should be getting shut of him now and not still carrying the burden of completely writing off our record transfer over the next 2 seasons. When it comes to selling players, we are like a poorly run charity shop who just labels everything for sale at a flat rate without bothering to check the value of things they have for sale.

You speak with a lot of conviction, do you work the industry or something?

The amount of posts you do about how you think we can just get rid of players like they are a pair of old socks is truly amazing.

Nunez is a mercenary, congrats on the dippers making a loss on him.

Behave FFS
I just don’t find him all that endearing tbh. He is a waster imo. £100 mil annd our 2nd highest paid player at the club (which is why we can’t shift him now). Barely produced and was carried to a treble by Rodri, haaland and co.

He has been left out of squads due to his off field behaviour including during title run ins yet is still loved by some. Sterling and mahrez produced way more yet were constantly bashed. I just don’t get it

I feel the same way about him as I did cancelo. We are better off without him.

Do you think we were turning away the queue of clubs looking to buy him?

If his reported wages are true, there aren't many clubs who could afford to pay it, let alone a fee on top. Added to that, we can't just sell him, he needs to agree to the move, so even if we received an offer from say Saudi, if he doesn't want to go there he doesn't go.

Real soft spot for him, maybe it didn’t workout for him on a personal level but he was brilliant for the team during the treble.

Wish him all the best, hopefully he gets his personal life in order and gives what he has left to football.

Ive always found a peculiar anti-grealish stance from a lot of blues.
Thought about it often and for a player who was asked to play a certain way by pep and was utterly integral to our treble winning season its always confused me.

I put it partly down to jealousy of a man earning £300k a week and a weird hang up about his fee
on both counts , its not our money, so who cares?

Guy sat next to me used to slag him weekly , asking why he didnt dribble past 4 players and smash it in “like he did at villa”.
He never did that at villa! Think his biggest return was 6 goals in a season?

He was asked to play a very certain way for us. Retain possession, and he was brilliant at it. Drawing in 2/3 defenders, lay it off and assist the assister. And it worked , we won an historic treble

yep he went down hill after that, hes a human being. We’ll never know if any issue was at the centre of it, for all the know nowts on here guessing.

So jack goes with a huge THANKS from me and massive clap when he returns with Everton

First of all I really like Jack. He comes across as genuine and a big personality. I don't think he has a bad bone in his body. I also think he is a very good player. He doesn't lose the ball, links well with others, is good defensively and when he starts we very seldom lose. Something has happened though behind the scenes that not only has seen him completely fall out of favour with Pep but also stop teams coming in to buy him outright. Maybe in time we will get some background to this. I wish him all the luck in the world and thank him for his important contribution but its really sad it has come to a cobbled together loan to Everton.
