Know what, initially the links to Grealish were nice, it was nice to hear that he could be ours. But like most on here, we weren't sure and were hardly bothered. Over the past 10 days or so, seeing the reaction of rival fans, sending abuse our way, attacking journos, I actually REALLY need this to go through, need them pricks to know their place. Arrogant cnuts, didn't know the social media phase for Villa fans would bring about some absolute melts

Bear in mind though it's only the fans you see online. Like with our fans you can't judge an entire fanbase on that. Most likely the true Villa fans will wish him well and will see his ambition, especially now his wages aren't the main reason for wanting to leave. Social media is absolutely full to the brim with bell-ends.

Totally fair mate, and I agree with that. Unfortunately, in this day and age, it's hard to separate online and offline. This is the social media age, maybe not for the older generation, but my time at work or off work is spent a lot online, hence we may believe some of things hold no real value, but you'd be surprised to hear how people in real life have slowly started to form these opinions off socials. Really look no further than some of the journos talking ill about our club, saying the most outrageous shite with little to no research, and posting stuff taken off forums (like Tolm's info stolen by some fairly regarded journos). It's definitely not a whole overview, but it's still a good measure.

Not to mention, the biggest indication was that Grealish clip that went viral, some young bloke chatting about how a professional football player shouldn't go to City because formed 10 years ago etc etc, this has stemmed from social media unfortunately, even if people in real life don't care or are aware it's false.

Bailey was coming in regardless mate, look at their transfer hunt for instance, wouldn't be after 3-4 players in a rush if there wasn't an expected exit.
