I think with regards to a possible release clause, the penny is beginning to drop for the Villa fans.

He would have been nuts not to have had one included when he signed his last contract. He supports Villa but as a professional he's ambitious. So they say to him, "Jack give us a couple more seasons, get us established in the premier league and if a top four club comes in for you we'll let you go for 70 million."
