LOL, my exact thoughts.
I don't watch Everton much but Rodwell's man marking of Silva against us last season was an excellent individual performance from him. Even if he was crap in other games, if Mancini could get him playing like that regularly he can't be too bad surely.

Simple really all the pundits hype him up because he is english by saying he shouldn't be on the bench and should be in the england squad. But they don't see him every week like us and know what a average player he really is. so everton can have him we will take rodwell and see who is laughing in 2-3 years.

I heard this rumour the other day, but I cant remember where. I think it was when I was looking around looking for news about Agger, and got onto some weird Liverpool forum (not RAWK), I think, a "ITK" on there, was going on about how he'd heard Everton were considering selling Rodwell to us.

I like Johnson but i know what you mean, he's good but not great, Everton can have him if they really want.

If true, I think signing Rodwell and Sinclair would be in order to comply with the homegrown players rule. I imagine they'd be squad players used mainly for domestic cups, whether the players would be happy with that is a different matter.
I don't see why signing Sinclair would impact on Johnson, they'd probably both play in domestic cups. I think Johnson will stay regardless of who we sign, he's a valuable member of the squad. I know most of his goals came in games that were already won, but as we know from last season, Goal Difference can be huge and to have a player who can regularly score coming on as a sub is a great quality to have.
