Jack Rodwell

Sunderland fans up here see him as better than any midfielder they have had for years. They see him as a bargain. Some talk on Sunderland forum about the sell on fee Everton will get as part of original deal with City.... Anyone know anything?

I'm pleased he's gone and wish the lad luck. But I wouldn't get hung up on the ten mill. Lots of it will be appearance based. I suspect it's in all party's interests to talk the fee up

Keep Boyata and lose Rodwell...don't get it. Wages?

You've lost me

One is a defender, one is a midfielder

One is always fit, one is never fit

One is garbage, the other is garbage

Haha

Shame the Rodwell has been plagued by injuries during his time at city. I wish him well if he completes his move to Sunderland. With the right training programme and game time he might reach his expected potential.

Which he is. I mean to say; Lee Cattermole, FFS. To call him a donkey is an insult to our friends traipsing up and down Blackpool beach.

10mil...Cheeky has played a blinder

So have Sunderland if he recovers his fitness and gets game time.

Rodwell can be quality, unfortunately he wouldn't get the opportunities to prove it here.

Good move for all.

Exactly. Its a fair, middle of the road deal. Whether Txiki has played a blinder or Sunderland have a bargain will only be determined by how his career pans out from here. I'd think if anything he's maybe gone a little cheap seeing how we price English potential in this country, but there's no ignoring his injury record.

Shame as Id have loved to see him do well here. Seems like a top lad.

Good luck to the lad, seriously hope he gets back to some level of fitness.

A good piece of business by city, I suspect we have given this one ample thought and decided he is never going to get anywhere near where he needs to be for a regular first team player for us but perhaps he can be that at Sunderland.
