And Yaya Toure. Hart, Garcia and Toure. Nastasic had a lot of work today, but he lost Walters on the free Header, Got beat in the air by Jones, lost Anartovic, almost scored a blinder against us. He also put in some good clearances and hassled the strikers, but Garcia was the solid CD. One mistake when he miscleared the ball. Yaya was excellent at DM, put in tackles, was always first to charge at their midielders when we cleared out, intercepted Nzonzi in a dangerous area and created one of our best chances, kept the possession well, never lost possession once all game. And towards the end tried to bomb forward to add some energy.
Hart, Garcia and Yaya were very good.
Everyone else was average to poor. And Rodwell was our most ineffective player. Didn't add much to possession, offense or defense. Milner was crap on offense, but at least he put in a shift defensively. Nasri was able to hold possession, but his end game was meh. Alvie and Jovie were starved, but Alvie put himself about like Milner. Zaba and Kolarov were up and down.
Navas and Aguero helped.
I don't think he had a good game. I am certain he did. He made the fewest mistakes on defense, had the most pass completions, most interception, Kept his man under wrap all game. At no point did the guy he was guarding at any time get a shot off. You couldn't say the same for any of the other defenders.
