Jadon Sancho

Possibly he looks a prospect alright but we had no choice as he wouldn't sign a new deal, was missing training etcetera we had to let him go.

He didn't sign a contract as he thought he had no chance of getting a chance here, cause and effect, but I guess he has been vindicated if he has already got a game for Dortmund's first team

The worry is that it may appear to others he did the right thing 10 mins for 1 of the prospects at 3 up against Burnley would have sent out a message

On redcafe they are talking about this tweet being liked by Angel Gomes:

If true then maybe it's not only Sancho who is considering leaving for a better playing opportunity.

That is what I meant, how can you do that ?

I thought if a player is called up to an international tournament then they are on international duty until they are out of said tournament at the earliest ?

That was my point earlier too Alf. England get to the business end of the tournament - where they may need to play Brazil, or, hang on, Germany, in the semi final, and lo and behold his German employers decide they want him back...

Would love to see Foden or Diaz given a run out in games when the match has been decided. Partly as a reward but also to introduce them to the expectations of playing in front of a large crowd and against experienced professionals.

Hopefully they will get there chance to do this over the course of the season and be stronger for it next year.

Young players have to be exceptional to make the breakthrough at the top clubs of which we are now one. He was offered 30 grand a week and could have still gone to a top club on loan to showcase his talents. All the big clubs lose top players who make a success elsewhere, De Bruyne and Lukaku at Chelsea being probably the best known ones. At the time they left though the players in front of them were world class, how do they replace them when every game is important? Pep played the kids at the swamp and got slaughtered by many when they knocked us out. It is a conundrum all the top sides face.

I agree fully with this and not just since Pep took, Pellers was guilty of playing the likes of Sinclair with 8-10 minutes to go and he had absolutely no future with us, take any youth and give them that slot when we were winning comfortably and you never know what may occur.

I hadn't thought of that, hmm.

If he had stayed with us he would now be looking forward to a World Cup semi-final. Instead he will be keeping Dortmund's bench warm while his mates enjoy the experience.
