It's part of being a manager. It's called good management, leaving a legacy etc. Would have done his rep no harm at all. Look at the credit Poch gets for playing the odd kid here and there. People rate him higher than Pellegrini, despite MP winning the league, so I guess it wasn't really worth giving Demichelis 10 mins every week in the end. If anything, there was a strong case to say he limited his own options and hampered himself tbh.

Was that Pellegrini though? He showed at Malaga he was happy to blood youngsters.

Now at West Ham, he’s building his side round Rice & Diangana. I watched them vs Burnley, they were both excellent.

I fully agree, it’s often frustrating when senior players get what seem like pointless minutes. But as most managers including Pep seem to constantly do it.
There must be a reason why, my money is on squad harmony.

We may think 10 minutes for Denichellis or Kompany is pointless, but I doubt they or the squad do. Not to mention, the fact that the older players need to keep up to speed and 15/20 minutes may be key to that for all we know.

i don't know about any youth player making this much noise in moving club on his own terms (he wanted out) and why have manchester city been dragged in the mud in the media, manchester city never once said we did not want to keep sancho and manchester city never shown him the door, it was sancho and his people demanding something the club never offer anybody from the youth and its game time at 17 years old ?? you have to earn it and work very hard to take a place of somebody from the first team squad, the worst thing you can do is demand a place, even seasons pro's get shown the door if they demand first team football

I'd have thought it worked the other way. Other clubs know they have to put in a ridiculously high bid to make it not worth our while matching it. So they are either priced out of bidding or take a huge hit. I like it.

As for fake bids, we can call that bluff pretty easily.

I wonder if people read what has been said previously.Reliable people have stated there is no sell on clause,only a first refusal option.Essentially that means we will be afforded the opportunity to match any future bid.Im not sure how the players preference works in such a scenario.
